The PneumaticPlus PT series is a line of brass DOT push-to-connect fittings for truck and trailer air systems — the properly prepared nylon tube pushes directly into the fitting, with no flaring or compression nut. Choose this series when you need a durable brass fitting for pneumatic circuits that call for DOT-compliant components, backed by the manufacturer's stated compliance with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 106 (FMVSS No. 106), 49 CFR 571.106, plus SAE J2494-3 and SAE J1131.
The PT line covers truck and trailer pneumatic circuits — including air suspension, braking systems, transmissions, instrumentation, and accessories — when used with appropriate SAE J844 (DOT) nylon tubing, proper installation, and the manufacturer's stated application limits. Per the manufacturer, the line is designed for all such circuits except between the frame and axle or between a towed and towing vehicle, where flexing hose assemblies are used instead.
A complete configuration range
Route any air line without leaving the series: straight male (PT11) and female (PT13) connectors; fixed (PT14), swivel (PT15), and 45° swivel (PT15-45) male elbows; swivel female elbow (PT17); tube-to-tube union (PT26), union elbow (PT28), and union tee (PT29); swivel tees (PT20, PT20-F) and lateral run tee (PT23); bulkhead unions (PT27, PT27-F); and the PT10 press-in cartridge for SAE J2494-4 aluminum cavities. Tube sizes span 5/32" through 3/4" OD. The PT design incorporates an internal tube support for use with compatible SAE J844 nylon air-brake tubing.
